Saint Ignatius High School is currently seeking a Technology Intern. Saint Ignatius High School has a campus network comprised of multiple academic and support buildings. Keeping pace with current technology in the academic field is a priority at our school. This internship is year round with a two-year opportunity.
The expected work schedule of the Technology Intern is 30 to 40 hours per week during the summer and 16 to 24 hours during the school year. Over the summer, the schedule is usually 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 7.5 hour day. During the school year, the schedule is flexible working around your college classes. Working evenings and weekends is required as needed. The internship program should provide a meaningful job experience and the intern will report to the Supervisor of Technology.

Salary Range: $13.75 /hour
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of all necessary technology equipment in classrooms and offices, including but not limited to, computers (PC and Macintosh), printers, Smartboards, projectors, wireless access points, Apple TVs and other classroom technology.
- Respond to user requests and helpdesk tickets, troubleshoot problems and train end-users.
- Install and update software for computer carts and labs, including imaging computers.
- Learning and assisting with cyber, switch, firewall, router, wireless and server updates.
- Run some school events, which often are scheduled evenings and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology or other supervisory personnel.
Requirements
- This internship is open to college students enrolled and actively pursuing a 4-year degree. For those attending college, a minimum GPA of 2.5 should be maintained in your academic program during the internship. Your schooling comes first.
- We also accept students that are part time in school but committed to a degree program.
- Candidate should possess solid communication skills, be results oriented and mission focused.
- Must be flexible, and responsive to job demands, including work performed on evenings and weekends. Use of ladders indoor & out and lifting 50lbs. overhead are physical requirements.
- Self-sufficient and able to operate independently with minimal administrative support.
- Aptitude for learning new applications and skills a must. Ability to critique own work and outcomes seeking help to resolve problems that require higher skillsets.
- Punctual, industrious, and professional demeanor.
- Our standard two year program funds training for A+ certification as a benefit. Several past interns have successfully completed this program and received their certification.
About Saint Ignatius High School: Saint Ignatius High School, which opened its doors September 6, 1886, is a Jesuit college-preparatory school. The school enrolls more than 1,400 young men who hail from 92 cities in an 11-county region. Located in close proximity to downtown Cleveland in the vibrant and energetic Ohio City neighborhood, the school occupies 23 acres and includes 19 buildings and three athletic fields. The school has 114 faculty members, 89 percent of whom hold advanced degrees. Fifty-six percent have spent 10 years or more teaching at Saint Ignatius.
