Job Title: Pantry Chef, part-time, 10:30 AM - 7 PM Position Summary: The Pantry Chef is responsible for preparing, presenting, and maintaining high-quality cold food items, including salads, sandwiches, dressings, fruit displays, and other cold kitchen offerings. This role ensures all menu items meet established standards of quality, taste, and presentation, while following food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Pantry Chef works closely with the culinary team to support daily meal service, catering, and special events. Responsibilities: Prepare and present cold dishes such as salads, appetizers, dressings, fruit, sandwiches, and desserts Ensure consistency, taste, and quality of all food items produced Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications Assist with menu planning and development of cold kitchen offerings Properly label, date, rotate, and store all food items Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and refrigeration units Assist in catering setups and special functions as needed Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management Comply with all health, sanitation, and safety regulations Support a positive and cooperative team environment Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training preferred Previous experience in a professional kitchen (1–2 years in pantry/cold food prep preferred) Strong knowledge of food safety and handling procedures Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and communication skills Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in hot/cold environments Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed
