Part-time Housekeeper: Jesuit Retreat Center

Part-Time Housekeeper (Ministry of Hospitality) Jesuit Retreat Center – Parma, OH Approximately 15 hours per week The Jesuit Retreat Center (JRC) is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to help care for our beautiful, peaceful retreat space. This role is an important part of our ministry of hospitality — helping create a clean, welcoming, and restful environment for guests who come seeking reflection, renewal, and spiritual nourishment. What You’ll Do You’ll help prepare and care for guest rooms and common spaces so retreatants feel welcomed and cared for: Make beds and prepare guest rooms Vacuum rooms and hallways; sweep and mop floors Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment Clean windows, mirrors, and walls Clean and restock pantry and coffee stations Clean and sanitize restrooms; replenish supplies Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and properly Identify and report housekeeping needs Respond to occasional special requests Schedule & Work Style Typically 3 mornings per week (ideally Monday, Friday, plus occasional weekend day) Work independently with trust and responsibility Clear, open communication and teamwork are valued What We’re Looking For One to two years of related housekeeping or cleaning experience Reliable, attentive to detail, and self-directed Comfortable working independently Warm, respectful presence with guests and staff Takes pride in creating clean, peaceful spaces Why Work at JRC Meaningful, mission-driven work in a peaceful setting Supportive, welcoming team Predictable part-time schedule Opportunity to contribute to a place of reflection and renewal
