Pastoral Associate, Liturgy and Formation: Gesu Parish

Located in University Heights, OH, Gesu Parish is a Catholic community, in the Jesuit tradition, committed to: Eucharistic living, Lifelong learning, Generous serving “all for the greater glory of God. One of the largest parishes in the Diocese of Cleveland, we currently serve over 7,000 parishioners and 750 pre-K to 8th grade students and their families in our Catholic School. We are currently seeking a full time Pastoral Associate for Liturgy and Formation.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Liturgical Studies, Pastoral Ministry, or Theology; or equivalent education.
Requirements include knowledge of Catholic Church liturgical documents, strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, as well as excellent computer skills.

The Pastoral Associate will be working as a team member within the Office of Liturgy and Music.
Principal responsibilities within liturgy include the formation, coordination, and training of liturgical ministry volunteers, liturgy preparations, sacramental preparations, sacristy management, and related administrative duties to carry out a comprehensive parish liturgical program. Liturgical oversight includes Sundays, Holy Days, parish day school activities and periodic paraliturgical programming.
Formation responsibilities are mainly in the realm of youth and young adults. This includes facilitating a faith formation program for children outside of our parish dayschool, and for children seeking sacraments of initiation.
