Job Description
Position Summary: REGINA HEALTH CENTER is a CMS FIVE-STAR rated mission-based skilled nursing home and assisted living facility of excellence! Regina Health Center is located on 230 beautiful acres in Richfield, Ohio and we are currently seeking a compassionate and caring Pastoral Care Assistant to join our excellent team. The Pastoral Care Assistant works under the direction of the Director of Pastoral Care to initiate and coordinate: services to the residents of Regina Health Center that meet their spiritual, pastoral and related needs; support of the residents, their families, and communities in times of transition and stressful situations, and on occasions of celebration. All services provided are done in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Regina Health Center and current federal, state, and local standards governing long-term care and assisted living facilities. The Pastoral Care Assistant is expected to work a flexible work schedule of 20 hours per week on site, primarily weekday mornings.
Position Responsibilities: • Love elderly individuals, knowing they still have much to offer. • Produce & set out our daily Elevator Prayer Sheets. Computer skills needed. • Visit Residents Daily - Start with new residents each day and those that need attention, or prayer. • Help to transport first floor residents to Mass daily • Roman Catholic Mass attendance required • Eucharistic Minister to area as needed daily. • Set up for Mass when Director not available. • Able to produce Sunday Worship Aide – (Computer) • Enlist a Celebrant for Mass when a Priest cancels at the last minute. • Able to walk and push a wheel chair • Good communication & collaboration skills • Attend Plan of Care meetings when Director not available. • Provide coverage for Director during vacation & time off. Education/ Experience (Any or All) • CPE Training – (Clinical Pastoral Education) Unit? preferred • Lay Ecclesial Minister Certification preferred • Catholic Parish Ministries – Grief Share, Spiritual Direction. • Volunteer work in any of the above Interested candidates may contact Mary Takacs, Director of Pastoral Care at (330) 659-5136 Or email resume to mtakacs@reginahealthcenter.org
