Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop healthy habits, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong appreciation for physical fitness, while integrating Catholic values into daily instruction.
Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate physical education lessons for students in grades K–8. Promote physical fitness, health, and wellness through a variety of activities and sports. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Teach and model good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect. Integrate Catholic identity and values into instruction and interactions with students. Organize and supervise games, activities, and school athletic events as needed. Assess student progress and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school initiatives and student development. Teach Health to Grades 6-8. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field. Valid state teaching license/certification. Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission and values of Catholic education. Experience teaching children in a school setting is preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
