Full-Time Physical Education Teacher Saint Rita School - Solon, Ohio Saint Rita School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-27 academic year. We are looking for a passionate educator who can inspire our students to develop healthy habits and a love for physical activity. About Us: Saint Rita School is a Catholic elementary school serving students from Preschool through 8th grade in Solon, Ohio. We are committed to nurturing the whole child—spiritually, academically, and physically—in a faith-filled environment.
Position Overview: The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive physical education program that promotes physical fitness, motor skills development, teamwork, and sportsmanship for all students.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and teach age-appropriate physical education classes for students P-8 Instill Catholic educational values in all activities Create a safe, inclusive learning environment for all students Assess student progress and provide feedback Maintain equipment and facilities Communicate with parents about student progress and program activities
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or related field Ohio teaching license/certification with a Physical Education endorsement is preferred Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students preferred Strong classroom management skills Ability to adapt activities for different age groups and ability levels Commitment to Catholic education and values Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance Retirement plan Tuition assistance for faculty children Professional development opportunities
