Pre-Kindergarten Teacher: St. Brendan School

Saint Brendan Classical Catholic School is seeking a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.

This position is for a new, additional Pre-K class serving children who are four years old on or before 9/30/26. The class will operate as a partial-day program (8:00–11:15 a.m.) through 1/4/27, after which a full-day option (8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) may be available. Enrollment for the class will be capped at 10 students. The Pre-K Teacher will collaborate closely with the Pre-Kindergarten team to learn and implement St. Brendan’s program while contributing to a supportive Professional Learning Community grounded in high standards. The teacher will demonstrate effective classroom management, strong organization and structure, flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and clear, consistent communication with parents and colleagues, as well as proficiency with school software and management platforms.

Responsibilities include timely submission of progress reports, class newsletters, and lesson plans; ensuring the safe supervision of students; teaching with a strong command of Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards; and fulfilling other duties as assigned. Familiarity with the PreK On My Way! curriculum or similar programs is a plus. The ideal candidate is collaborative, receptive to coaching and feedback, and enthusiastic about living out the teaching ministry as a vocation within a positive, team-oriented community. The Pre-Kindergarten Teacher will also learn and implement Classical Catholic Educational methods; in-house training, collaboration, feedback, and Professional Development will be provided. The teacher will live the virtues and morals compatible with and supportive of the teachings and mission of St. Brendan School, the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, and the Roman Catholic Church.

Qualifications: Teaching experience at the Pre-K/Preschool levels • Knowledge of Early Childhood Development • Passing a background check with BCI and FBI fingerprinting • Obtaining VIRTUS, First Aid, Communicable Diseases, and CPR certifications • Obtaining certifications and requirements as set forth by the state and Diocese Compensation is dependent upon candidate qualifications and licensure(s), and factors in that the position is part-time and possibly becomes full-time on 1/4/27 or afterwards.
