Preschool Aide (Preschool 3s - Pre-K: St. Christopher School

Saint Christopher School is seeking a caring, faith‑filled Preschool Aide to support our Preschool 3s, 4s, and Pre‑K classrooms. This role is ideal for someone who loves young children, values a joyful and structured learning environment, and desires to contribute to a vibrant Catholic school community.

Position Overview: The Preschool Aide works closely with the lead teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom rooted in Catholic values. The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about helping our youngest learners develop academically, socially, and spiritually in an environment that fosters imaginative play, learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities: Support the lead teacher with daily classroom routines and activities Assist with supervision during learning centers, playtime, restroom breaks, and transitions Cover lead teachers lunch period Help prepare materials, set up activities, and maintain a clean, organized classroom Foster a warm, welcoming environment that reflects the mission of Catholic education Communicate positively and professionally with students, staff, and families Support students’ social‑emotional development through gentle guidance and encouragement Ensure student safety at all times

Qualifications: Experience working with young children preferred Ability to follow directions, take initiative, and work collaboratively Kind, patient, and committed to supporting a faith‑centered learning environment Must pass required background checks and meet diocesan compliance requirements Schedule & Compensation: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM or Monday-Thursday, 12:05 PM - 3:00 PM or Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Starting salary: $15/hour
