About All Saints School All Saints School is a preschool through 8th-grade Catholic community dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, academic excellence, and a lifelong love of learning. Our primary educators work closely as a team to give our youngest students a warm, safe, and joyful introduction to school life. Position Overview We are seeking a patient, proactive, and encouraging Classroom Educational Aide to support our primary grades (Kindergarten through 3rd Grade). The primary aide works directly alongside our lead classroom teachers to help manage daily routines, facilitate small-group learning activities, and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
Education Preference: Candidates holding an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Education (or a related child-development field) are highly preferred and will be given priority consideration. This role is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers or recent graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities 1. Instructional Support Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce foundational reading, phonics, and math concepts introduced by the lead teacher. Assist in prepping instructional materials, setting up science or art projects, and organizing learning centers. Provide extra attention and guidance to students who require remedial help or accommodations. 2. Classroom Management & Routine Supervision Assist the lead teacher in monitoring student behavior, maintaining classroom expectations, and fostering a kind, respectful environment. Supervise primary students during daily transitions, including morning arrival, recess, lunch, bathroom breaks, and afternoon dismissal. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe physical classroom space. 3. Spiritual & Professional Alignment Model Christian values and support the Catholic identity and mission of All Saints School. Maintain a high level of professionalism and strict confidentiality regarding student progress, behavior, and family data.
Qualifications & Requirements High School Diploma; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education preferred. Valid Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (or willingness to obtain one upon hire). Prior experience working with primary-aged children in a school, daycare, or structured camp setting. Excellent communication, patience, and a collaborative team-player mindset. Virtus trained (or willing to complete training) and able to pass standard FBI/BCI background checks.
