Position Overview The Seasonal Technology Support position provides temporary support for the operational and project-based needs of the Technology Department. This position is ideal for college students, education technology candidates, aspiring IT professionals, or individuals seeking hands-on technology experience in a collaborative school environment. This role will assist with the setup, deployment, organization, maintenance, and support of the technology equipment and systems across the SJA environment. This position begins June 1, 2026 and continue through August 14, 2026.
Essential Skills
General knowledge of Windows, macOS and ChromeOS operating systems Basic understanding of wireless networking, printing, and peripheral device connectivity Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education applications including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Classroom, Meet, and Calendar Well-organized with strong attention to detail Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Strong communication skills Demonstrates a willingness to learn Commitment to the Catholic education of young women in the tradition of the Congregation of St. Joseph
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include device preparation, deployment, inventory management, equipment moves, basic troubleshooting, and other assigned technology projects. Assist with summer technology refresh projects, classroom upgrades, and annual device deployments Support onboarding and setup of technology equipment for faculty and staff Follow established technology, cybersecurity, and data privacy procedures Maintain accurate inventory records for technology hardware, software, and related equipment Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve Level I hardware, software, and account-related issues
Requirements
Prior experience working in technology support, customer service, education, or related environments preferred but not required Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace applications Ability to lift and transport technology equipment up to 25 pounds Ability to move throughout campus buildings and classrooms during the workday Ability to work under desks, on ladders, or in classroom spaces while installing or troubleshooting equipment
