Teacher Educational Aide PreK-3rd: St. Sebastian School

Position Summary: Educational Aides at St. Sebastian Parish School support the classroom teacher, contribute to a safe and faith-filled learning environment, and assist with supervision of students in a variety of settings. Aides are vital members of our Catholic school community and are expected to support the mission, values, and moral teachings of the Catholic Church through both word and example.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Classroom Support Assist the classroom teacher with instructional and non-instructional tasks as directed. Follow the teacher’s directions regarding how, when, and to what extent tasks should be completed. Reinforce classroom expectations, routines, and procedures set by the teacher. Prepare, organize, and distribute instructional materials as requested. Provide individual or small-group support to students under the teacher’s guidance.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or experience in education or child care preferred. Willingness to support and model Catholic values and the mission of St. Sebastian Parish School. Ability to take direction, work collaboratively with teachers and staff, and communicate effectively with children and adults. Demonstrated responsibility, reliability, and respect for confidentiality. Completion of all diocesan and state requirements for working with children (e.g., background checks, VIRTUS training, safety trainings, as applicable).
