Pre-Cana is the name given to the marriage preparation retreat required for all marrying couples in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. Couples that are entering into a second marriage and blending families may be interested in a CANA II plan that involves individualized conversations that meet their specific needs.
Most Pre-Cana Days are held in the spring, but we also have retreat center offerings monthly. We have included the most up-to-date listings below. There are also online options available and many include online mentoring!
Accompaniment of couples that are getting married a second time should work with a marriage mentoring couple. If your parish doesn't have marriage mentors the Diocese can help to find couples to work with.
Parishes can choose to list their days through the Diocese. Parishes that have chosen to share their day for others to register have completed a form that creates an event on the Marriage and Family Event Page.

Living our Faith in Love
Online, on-demand program offered by The Marriage Group. Engaged couples can view videos on topics that are helpful in Catholic marriage and respond to reflection questions. They have a comprehensive foundational course in NFP taught by a Catholic OBGYN and two certified fertility care practitioners. The Discussion guides include guided discussions for the bride and groom filled with activities and prayers. Evermore in Love
Evermore in Love is a Catholic Marriage Prep and Enrichment with online mentoring and online sessions that occur over 5 weeks with various schedules available on their website. Many features are offered by donation.
Smart Loving
The online program includes courses for engaged couples and sponsors, family planning, and marriage enrichment. The cost is $99 for 2-year access to courses and the member hub. A couples workbook is available for an additional cost.
Catholic Marriage Prep
Explore the Agapè Catholic Ministries marriage preparation course, rooted in Theology of the Body and Humanae Vitae. Join online sessions, available in multiple languages, featuring interactive worksheets and personalized feedback from instructor couples. US $239 per couple.
If your Parish has a subscription to Formed through Lighthouse Media, talk to your priest about using their marriage preparation program, Beloved. Couples can access it right from the website/app after logging in with their parish's subscription code. Workbooks are downloadable or parishes can buy the workbooks for about $8/each in orders of 5.
