Parish Pods Project

The Parish Pods Project gathers a group of parishes in a given region to organize events for Young Adult Ministry together, collectively sharing the workload. 

Additionally, these pods allow for a larger gathering of young adults from the region from a variety of parishes, as opposed to young adults from a single parish where a critical mass of young adults may not be present.

Parish Pod Design

• Members: Each "pod" consists of a "Lead Parish" and 3-4 other parish members. 
• Lead Parish Obligation: The lead parish constructs a consistent monthly young adult event over the course of a season (Summer, Fall, Advent, Lent, Easter). 
• Member Parish Obligation: The remaining parishes "rotate" an event each month among the partners. (e.g. Parish 2 does an event in June, Parish 3 an event in July, etc.) This allows for two young adult events to be hosted every month in a given season.
• Network Obligations: The Pods provide their own social networking either through existing parish social networking structures or a collective social networking arm of the pod.  All events can be found on our events page on the diocesan website as well.
