The Pope invites young people from all over the world to attend and celebrate together at World Youth Day (WYD). WYD is six days of fun, prayer, catechetical sessions, informal gatherings, and festival events plus a vigil and concluding mass with the Pope. This gathering is held every three years at an international location.
The next WYD will take place in Seoul, South Korea, in 2027 - August 3rd to 8th.
This will be the first time World Youth Day is held in East Asia, and it’s expected to welcome hundreds of thousands of young Catholics from every continent. The event is open to all young people, regardless of background, who are interested in exploring faith, community, and global solidarity.
