National Catholic Youth Conference

The National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) is an exciting three-day experience of encounter, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adult chaperones. They enjoy incredible Catholic speakers, workshops, live music, electrifying large sessions, an amazing closing liturgy, and exploring faith in a supportive environment.

Perhaps best of all, teens are part of an enormous community of peers who love Jesus, who embrace their Catholic faith and aren't afraid to show it! Teens and youth leaders can together harness the experience and bring it back to their parishes.

November 20-23, 2025
Indianapolis, IN

What makes this conference so unique?

The NCYC is the largest Catholic youth gathering in the United States with teens and adult chaperones attending from all over the country.  The thematic park is a unique venue with tons to see and do – think life-sized foosball, giant art projects you can be a part of, service activities, Catholic vendors, and much more.  Plus most of the speakers, musicians, and tons of religious orders have tables so you can meet and talk with them.

WHY go to NCYC?

NCYC is a unique chance to celebrate our faith with thousands of others from across the country. For some, the speakers will be remembered the most.  For others, it is Eucharistic Adoration in Lucas Oil Stadium.  Still others will receive inspiration from the large general sessions and/or the concurrent sessions.  Others love the opportunity to meet peers from their across the diocese and the country, and to hang out with our very own Bishop Malesic and Bishop Woost!

Chaperones

Chaperone to youth ratio is 1:6. Two adults for the first 1-10 youth and one more adult for every six additional youth.  If male teens are attending, your group must have a male chaperone (cannot be a priest).  If female teens are attending, your group must have a female chaperone.   NCYC reaches out to parents/guardians, too. Parents are invited – come be a chaperone!

Chaperones must be age 21 or older, completed Virtus Training and compliance with the diocesan Protecting God’s Children policy, and comply with NCYC adult code of conduct.

Teen : Chaperone Ratio

Groups need to have 2 adults for the first 10 teens, and 1 adult for every 6 teens after that.

  • 1-10 teens + 2 adults
  • 11-16 teens + 3 adults
  • 17-22 teens + 4 adults
  • 23-28 teens + 5 adults
  • 29-34 teens + 6 adults
  • 35-40 teens + 7 adults
  • 41-46 teens + 8 adults
  • 47-52 teens + 9 adults
  • 53-58 teens + 10 adults
