OCIA Formation Sessions

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), approved by the USCCB and confirmed by the Apostolic See in 2024, is an updated translation of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Mandatory use of this translation was Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

In order to help those involved in the OCIA process with implementation at the parish level, the Diocese of Cleveland is offering another series of formation workshops. These workshops, a series presented by the Offices for Worship and Catechetical Formation, will be held at the Center for Pastoral Leadership and are intended for OCIA teams and clergy.

Each workshop of the series will delve deeper into the four periods of the OCIA process, including formation considerations and how to adapt for the unique needs of youth and young adults. Each session will include time to address questions. There is no charge to attend, but advanced registration is requested. Click here to register for some or all four of the sessions.
