Role of Religions in Relation to Environment
Sunday, October 22 from 2:30pm - 5:00pm
The various religious traditions of humanity have a number of challenges in the 21st century that were not as explicit as at their beginnings. One of those very important realties is the environment. With all humanity becoming very aware of the ecosystem in which everything is dependent on the other, the religions of the world have had to look again at their sacred texts and traditions of belief to give an answer to how to view those challenges to our environment. What guidance do we find in those teachings for protection and care of the earth with all the animal and vegetative life on which we humans depend and interact? Please join us as the Cleveland Conference of Religions offers insights into a pressing question for humanity.
