Lay Ecclesial Ministry Information Night
Tuesday, February 24 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Discover Lay Ecclesial Ministry in the Diocese of Cleveland.
An Information Night for all those interested in the Diocesan Certification Process for Lay Ecclesial Ministers will be held on Tuesday, February 24th from 6:30–8:00 pm at the Center for Pastoral Leadership. If you or someone you know has expressed a sense of being called to serve the Church through lay ministry, the Lay Ecclesial Ministry (LEM) Formation and Certification process may be the next step in your discernment.
This diocesan program assists in the comprehensive education, training, and formation of lay leaders who desire to serve the People of God in a deeper and more intentional way. Certified Lay Ecclesial Ministers collaborate closely with the ordained to meet the pastoral, catechetical, and spiritual needs of parishes and Catholic institutions across the Diocese of Cleveland. Their roles are diverse, including service as pastoral associates, catechetical leaders, ministers of sacramental preparation, youth ministers, social outreach coordinators, bereavement ministers, campus ministers, and leaders of adult faith formation.
Come learn about the formation process, meet program staff, ask questions, and explore whether God may be calling you to this vital ministry of leadership and service. If you are unable to attend and would like more information, please call the Lay Ecclesial Ministry Office at 440-943-7669.
