Saint Martin de Porres High School is seeking a passionate and mission-driven Community Service Specialist to join our Campus Ministry team. This individual will coordinate, develop, and lead community service opportunities that foster student leadership, deepen faith, and strengthen relationships with community partners.

Position Summary
The Community Service Specialist is responsible for directing, planning, coordinating, and executing all Campus Ministry-sponsored community service opportunities while cultivating meaningful partnerships with organizations throughout the greater community.
This role helps students live out the Gospel through service, reflection, leadership, and relationship-building while advancing the mission of Saint Martin de Porres High School.
Key Responsibilities
Community Service Leadership
Develop and coordinate a variety of ongoing community service opportunities for students.
Create long-term service experiences that emphasize relationship-building and community engagement, including programs such as MOSAIC Club and Pride in the CLE.
Facilitate opportunities for students and adult volunteers to reflect on their service experiences and the call to solidarity.
Track and maintain student service hours using MobileServe.
Develop student leadership by encouraging ownership and shared responsibility in service planning and execution.
Coordinate volunteer teams and programming for initiatives such as the monthly food bank and community garden.
Lead the planning and chaperoning of Service Immersion Trips during Spring Break and summer.
Community Partnerships
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with neighborhood organizations, nonprofits, parishes, and community partners.
Serve as a liaison between the school and external organizations to expand meaningful service opportunities.
Campus Ministry Support
Assist with a variety of Campus Ministry programs, including:
Student retreats (including some evenings, weekends, and overnight experiences)
School-wide liturgies, Masses, and prayer services
Faith formation events and milestone celebrations
Extracurricular ministries and service organizations, including:
Gospel Choir
Praise Dance
Student Advocates for Social Justice
Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice
Additional ministry initiatives as needed
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain student and volunteer records, including:
Permission forms
Service hour documentation
Emergency medical forms
Coordinate communications regarding Campus Ministry events through newsletters, announcements, and other communication channels.
Communicate with community partners and service organizations.
Schedule transportation and reserve facilities for off-campus activities.
Attend Campus Ministry team meetings and individual meetings with the Director of Campus Ministry.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to become an Ohio Certified Van Driver (training available upon hire).
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
Five or more years of experience in an academic or nonprofit environment.
Three or more years of experience working within a faith-based organization.
Three or more years of experience in community engagement, service learning, or community outreach.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
