Girls' High School Volleyball Coach
Our Lady of the Elms is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced individual to join our athletic department as the Girls’ High School Volleyball Coach. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volleyball, a commitment to developing student-athletes, and a focus on fostering an inclusive, positive team environment.
As the head coach, you will be responsible for leading the girls' volleyball program, fostering sportsmanship, developing athletic skills, and promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our student athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement training plans and strategies for the volleyball team.
Lead practices, workouts, and team meetings.
Manage game day preparation, including team lineups and logistical coordination.
Build and maintain positive relationships with athletes, parents, and staff.
Foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Ensure adherence to all school policies and OHSAA rules and regulations.
Monitor and support the academic progress of student athletes to ensure eligibility.
Maintain equipment and facilities and ensure the safety and well-being of athletes.
Assist with recruiting athletes and promoting the volleyball program within the school community.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and the broader community.
A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a focus on student athlete development.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to obtain other certifications as requested by the Athletic Director and/or Principal.
Contract Rate: $3,000
