Athletics | Seasonal Coaching Position
Archbishop Hoban High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Girls Lacrosse Head Coach to lead and develop the school's lacrosse program. The successful candidate will bring strong communication and organizational skills, successful coaching experience, and a commitment to developing the program as a whole.
As a private Catholic high school rooted in the Holy Cross tradition, Archbishop Hoban is committed to educating the hearts and minds of students. The Head Coach will support this mission by incorporating Hoban's core values into the athletic experience while helping student-athletes grow in skill, character, teamwork, discipline, and respect.
Develop and communicate a vision for the girls lacrosse program.
Lead the overall development, growth, and promotion of the program.
Establish and maintain high standards for team behavior, discipline, and adherence to team expectations.
Promote individual growth in athletic ability, teamwork, discipline, leadership, and respect.
Apply effective player-development strategies appropriate for high school lacrosse athletes.
Hold student-athletes, coaches, and other individuals associated with the program to consistent standards.
Utilize a variety of coaching and instructional techniques to meet student-athlete needs and improve individual and team performance.
Plan and supervise practices.
Supervise competitions and support individual and team development.
Maintain and properly manage lacrosse equipment.
Attend staff development meetings, coaching clinics, and other professional development opportunities.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Required:
Active Ohio Pupil Activity Permit or ability to obtain one.
Successful completion of required online coaching training modules.
Ability to supervise practices and competitions during after-school hours and on weekends.
Leadership experience with the ability to support, motivate, and inspire student-athletes toward shared goals.
Successful completion of required criminal background checks.
VIRTUS Protecting God's Children training or willingness to complete the training.
Preferred:
Previous successful high school lacrosse coaching experience.
Strong knowledge of player development and current lacrosse coaching strategies.
Experience building and developing a comprehensive athletic program.
