The Financial Misconduct Hotline (introduced in 2008) allows Catholic Diocese of Cleveland employees, volunteers, vendors, parishioners or any interested party to report concerns about suspected financial irregularities. The program is operated by Ethics-Point, an independent third party company which provides a simple, risk-free means for reporting concerns about possible financial misconduct at any level of the Diocese.
Anyone will be able to report by clicking on the Financial Misconduct Hotline link here or by calling the hotline at 1-888-235-1723. Trained specialists will handle the calls and the individual reporting can leave his name or remain anonymous in a guaranteed secure environment.
The Diocese has initiated many actions to provide greater transparency, improved internal controls, and responsible stewardship of all resources. The Diocesan Finance Council, an advisory group of lay persons prescribed under Church law, directed the implementation of the Financial Misconduct Hotline to further strengthen those actions.
