Cleveland Bishop Richard Lennon today initiated the 2008 Catholic Charities Appeal. After surpassing last year's goal of $9.5-million dollars, this year's campaign goal across the 8 counties of the Diocese is $10-million.
Citing the needs of so many, Catholics and non-Catholics alike, the Bishop said 143 difference services and agencies are supported by Catholic Charities with 2.5 million people fed in 2007, 70-thousand receiving shelter assistance and thousands more receiving assistance ranging from counseling to adult and child day care.
