Annual one-hour 'Life Chain' event October 3, 2:30 p.m. in communities throughout the country

News of the Diocese

September 29, 2010

Life Chain is a silent, non-confrontational community reminder that life should be respected at all stages and ages.  This national and international event takes place annually, rain or shine, on the first Sunday in October (October 3, 2010), which is Respect Life Sunday.

One example of a Life Chain event happening in the Diocese of Cleveland on Sunday, October 3 is the Lake County 17th annual Life Chain.  They will be gathering for only one-hour at the intersections of Routes 20 and 306 in Mentor from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.  The Lake County Life Chain is sponsored by the Pro-Life Commission of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby.

Why Life Chain?  Because a disregard for life negatively impacts all of us, both now and in the future.  Because child and elder abuse has increased dramatically since abortion was legalized.  And to honor the millions of children already lost through abortion, while hopefully saving others.
