Poet Robert Frost may have been biting in his humor when he mused that, ?Fences make the best neighbors.? In his mind, fences represented the chance to shut out the rest of the world, to construct something stationary and unmoved by the passions of day-to-day living. Frost?s thinking is dangerously flawed. A fence can be a collaborative centerpiece to a community, the perfect metaphor for the FEST, the free Catholic family festival held on the grounds of the Center for Pastoral Leadership on August 7th.
