Bishop Tells Elyria Catholic Students: It's time to say "Here Am I Lord"

Bishop calls our Catholic Schools one of the great treasures of our Diocese.

 

As part of his ongoing program to meet with the high school students in the Diocese and celebrate the sacred Liturgy with them, Cleveland Bishop Richard Lennon spent discussion time with a group of 16 students from all four grades at Elyria Catholic High School and then celebrated Mass with the 440 members of the student body.

Thank you to Elyria Catholic High School The Bishop said the conversation with the students focused on their relationships to God and the call to vocation such as marriage, priestly ordination, or the religious life.

 

In his homily at Mass, Bishop Lennon said that during "Ordinary" time on the Church calendar, it is time to "get down to business" and to embrace the role which God initiates for each one of us---He calls us to do certain things and on the pathways in life our response to God should be "Here am I Lord."

 

Bishop Lennon added, "our part is saying 'yes' to God, adding, it is where we find true and lasting happiness."
