Located on the campus of St. Richard parish at 26855 Lorain Road in North Olmsted, it is a project of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Cleveland which determined the need for affordable senior housing in North Olmsted.
Among those attending the groundbreaking ceremonies was Cleveland Bishop, Most Rev. Richard Lennon; Kevin Kennedy, Mayor of North Olmsted; David Greenspan, Cuyahoga County Council; Hal Keller, President of the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing; and Paul Ettore of Key Bank.
Larry Murtaugh, Executive Director of the Diocese of Cleveland Facilities Services Corporation said the process worked extremely well in getting this project moving, "We are thrilled to see the project get underway as this has been a shared effort by so many and will serve seniors in the North Olmsted area for many years to come. The Apartments at St. Richard offer so many superb amenities but mostly it will be a wonderful place to call 'home'."
The two story building is designed with an elevator; one and two bedroom apartments with full kitchens including appliances, abundant closet space, a community room, patio library, laundry facilities and resident parking.
