Year of Faith - "Restless Heart" movie to be shown at Ashland University - Nov 5

News of the Diocese

October 18, 2012

A select screening of ?Restless Heart?, a feature film about the famous theologian St. Augustine of Hippo, will be shown at Ashland University November 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the Jack and Deb Miller Memorial Chapel.

One of only 25 screenings currently scheduled across the country, this event is sponsored by Catholic Campus Ministry- The Newman Community of Ashland University, The Center of Religious Life, The Religion and Philosophy Departments, The Philosophy Club, and Phi Sigma Tau.

All students, faculty and staff, will be admitted free of charge with their AU ID. General admission for the public is $5 and will be available at the door.

Prior to the movie, a short lecture on the importance of Augustine will be presented by Dr. David Aune, of the Ashland University Religion Department, Dr. Louis Mancha, of the Ashland University Philosophy Department, and will be hosted by Nate Addington, Ashland University Catholic Campus Minister.

Additional information on the film can be found at http://www.restlessheartfilm.com or by contacting Nate Addington at nadding@ashland.edu.

The $20-million movie was directed by Christian Duguay. It stars Alessandro Preziosi as Augustine.

?It is our hope that bringing this movie to the AU campus will give us a deeper insight into one of the most prominent figures of our faith, regardless of denomination or faith background. In the end the story of Augustine is one of hope for those who sometimes see the work of God as reserved only for the ?holy? or sinless.?
