"Week of Prayer for Christian Unity"
Fr. Joseph T. Hilinski, Delegate for Ecumenical and Interfaith Affairs, Diocese of Cleveland
Each year the Diocese of Cleveland continues to have a special lecture at Saint Mary Seminary on a topic of Christian Unity. This year the topic is on Vocations as seen by St. Ignatius of Loyola and Dr. Martin Luther. Next year the topic will likely be how Pentecostals (Charismatic's) relate to the greater Catholic community.
The Diocese of Cleveland also participates in a number of different parish services throughout the year. For example, Bishop Richard Lennon participates in the Thanksgiving service at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral along with other Christian leaders.
The Interfaith Office gives presentations on various aspects of Christian Unity throughout the Diocese. It also provides a special program for seminarians during their internship year to have opportunities to experience ecumenism in the local communities throughout the Diocese of Cleveland.
