Bishop Lennon speaking on Muslims and Jews at his latest "Year of Faith Lecture Series"

News of the Diocese

April 17, 2013

Most Reverend Richard Lennon, Bishop of Cleveland spoke about the Muslim and Jewish faiths during his most recent "Year of Faith Lecture Series" on Wednesday, April 17 at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in downtown Cleveland.

Bishop Lennon will continue his twice a month "Year of Faith Lecture Series" on Wednesday, May 1 inside the Cathedral.  His approximately twenty to thirty minute lectures will begin immediately after the conclusion of the noon Mass on selected weekday afternoons.

The bishop has been presenting two monthly sessions on documents from the Second Vatican Council throughout this "Year of Faith".

On April 10 and April 17 the bishop spoke on the document pertaining to the Declaration on the Relationship of the Church to non-Christian Religions.  His next lecture on Wednesday, May 1 will pertain to the Declaration on Religious Freedom.  All are welcome to attend these lectures.

This series is in concert with Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI's request that there be opportunities for the Faithful to deepen their appreciation and knowledge of Church teaching.  Please consider taking advantage of these opportunities so that each of us may better "live our relationship with Jesus Christ."
