Bishop Richard Lennon celebrated the annual Jubilee Mass at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21 at St. Basil the Great Parish in Brecksville. The Mass honors those priests and bishops who have been ordained 25, 40, 50 and 60 years.
Bishop Roger Gries, OSB (Auxiliary Bishop of Cleveland) delivered the homily and shared a couple of letters that teens had sent him. One young lady remarked how important priests are because they are needed for Mass, that Mass is needed to have Eucharist and Eucharist is an important part of our lives. Bishop Gries also spoke about the how the lives of priests (including his own) is one of love an service.
