On Friday, February 28 the movie "Son of God" will open at several cinemas across the Diocese of Cleveland.
With the endorsement of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), this film is seen as a way to deepen one's faith and build community and fellowship.
Cardinal Donald Wuerl of Washington D.C. calls the film "engaging and compelling" and Archbishop Jose Gomez of Los Angeles says it is "extraordinary."
"Son of God" follows the life of Christ from the Nativity to his Ascension and offers opportunities for parishes, schools, and organizations to schedule group outings which can be followed with discussion and reflection.
Beginning February 28th, the film will be offered at these theaters: Lakeshore-7 in Euclid, Eastgate-10 in Mayfield Heights, Great Lake Mall-16 in Mentor, Diamond Center-16 near Mentor-Painesville, and Midway Mall-8 in Elyria.
