The Reverend Francis C. Mulvanity, Pastor Emeritus, Saint Paul Parish, Euclid died Saturday, 24 May 2014, after having received the prayerful support and consolation of the Sacraments.

Francis C. Mulvanity was born on 4 March 1933. His parents were the late Gregory D. and Helen K. (Welch). He was educated at St. Augustine Academy, St. Luke, Lakewood, Browning Junior High, Cathedral Latin High School, Cleveland, St. Gregory Seminary, Cincinnati, Borromeo Seminary, Wickliffe and St. Mary Seminary, Cleveland. On 23 May 1959 in the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist, Bishop Floyd L. Begin ordained him to the priesthood for the service of the Diocese of Cleveland.

Fr. Mulvanity?s first assignment was as Parochial Vicar of St. Gregory the Great, South Euclid. On 11 June 1964 he was transferred to St. Bridget of Kildare, Parma to serve as Parochial Vicar. Fr. Mulvanity was appointed Parochial Vicar of Holy Cross, Euclid on 17 June 1970. He was transferred on 27 June 1974 to serve as Parochial Vicar of St. Mary of the Assumption, Mentor. He was transferred on 29 June1977 and appointed Administrator of St. Paul, Euclid. Fr. Mulvanity was appointed Pastor of St. Paul, Euclid on 9 September 1978 where he remained until his retirement on 30 June 2004.

Vespers will be celebrated by Bishop Roger Gries on Monday, 2 June in Immaculate Conception Church, 37932 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby, OH 44094 at 3:00 p.m. The wake will continue until 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 3 June in Immaculate Conception Church at 11:00 a.m. Bishop Richard Lennon will be the main celebrant and Fr. Albert Krupp will be the homilist. Interment will be at All Souls, Chardon.

In accord with the provisions of the Marian Pact, please try to attend and concelebrate the Funeral Liturgy, offer Mass for him as you are able and cause him to be remembered and prayed for in the appropriate public prayers of the Church. May Fr. Mulvanity and all our priests, deacons and bishops who have died, live forever in the joy of the Resurrection.
