by Colette M. Jenkins,

MEDINA: The Rev. Robert F. Wenz calls it ?undeserving? to be honored for doing good works.

Connie Ebaugh calls it ?embarrassing.?

Ebaugh and Wenz, both 67, will be recognized for their altruism and commitment to social justice by the Catholic Commission of Wayne, Ashland and Medina on Saturday, during the 28th annual Pope John Paul II, Proclaimer of Justice Gala Dinner and Silent Auction.

Ebaugh, a parishioner at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Litchfield, will receive the 2015 Faithful Servant Award. Wenz, who retired last June as parochial vicar (akin to associate pastor) at St. Ambrose Parish in Brunswick, will be honored with the 2015 Michael Berken Peace and Justice Award.
