Dr. Carolyn Woo is President and CEO of Catholic Relief Services
Dr. Carolyn Woo will be appearing on Thursday, June 4th at 7:00 p.m. at St. Clarence parish in North Olmsted, 30106 Lorain Road. Dr. Woo was recently featured in Foreign Policy magazine as one of the 500 most powerful people on the plant and one of only 33 in the category of ?a force for good.?
She has directed Catholic Relief Services, the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States since January of 2012. Her talk is entitled Faith, Action, Results and will describe how CRS responds to the call of the Gospel to serve the poorest and most vulnerable on behalf of Catholic in the United States.
Assuredly, she will talk about the ongoing assistance to earthquake-ravaged Nepal where CRS has been present since the first reports were broadcast around the world.
Prior to becoming Executive Director of CRS, Dr. Woo served on its board for six years while Dean of the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
Dr. Woo will make two other appearances while in Cleveland, prior to the Thursday evening address. She will be speaking to the First Friday Club of Cleveland on Thursday the 4th at noon at the Cleveland City Club. She will also headline the Friday Forum at the Cleveland City Club on Friday, the 5th.
