CLEVELAND - Sam Miller, chairman emeritus of Forest City Enterprises, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his contributions to the Greater Cleveland community through his support of myriad health and human service organizations.
The award will be presented at the Alleluia Ball on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Cleveland Convention Center.
The Alleluia Ball, whose theme is ?Take Your Seat,? will provide significant funding for tuition assistance for students to attend Catholic schools throughout Northeast Ohio and will support a renovation of the interior of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.
?This recognition of Sam Miller is well-deserved and meaningful,? said Tim Panzica, co-chair of the 2015 Alleluia Ball with his wife, Donna. ?Sam?s support of social services programs and activities in our community, particularly those in the Catholic Diocese, has made a tremendous impact on so many.?
Throughout his long and illustrious career at Forest City, Sam has always made it a priority to give back to the community, according to Panzica.
?Sam?s support and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations is unparalleled,? he said. ?In particular, his leadership and contributions to Catholic human service organizations and schools has been incredibly impactful.?
Since its inception, the Alleluia Ball (formerly the Cathedral Ball) has raised over $3 million for tuition assistance for students and their families in Northeast Ohio, enabling them to access the benefits of a Catholic education.
