The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has been encouraging Catholics across the country during the two week period prior to the Fourth of July to have a strong focus on prayer, education and reflection on our first freedom, freedom of religion.

What is the Fortnight for Freedom all about?
It is a 14-day period from June 21 through July 4 in which the bishops of the United States are asking Catholics to pray, fast, do penance and take action in order to defend religious liberty and conscience rights, against unjust government intrusion.
