Farming families from across the Diocese of Cleveland joined with parishioners of St. Peter Parish, Loudonville, for the 24th annual Harvest Mass of God?s Creation at 9 a.m. Oct. 23 at St. Peter?s.
Farmers brought corn, fresh brown eggs, soil and steaks from family farms in the diocese and placed the items into a wooden box that was made years ago by a farmer from Valley City. A painting of SS. Isidore and Maria, patron saints of farmers, stood behind the box.
Before beginning the liturgy, Father Vince Hawk, pastor of St. Peter Parish, recognized families in attendance who have farmed their land for generations
