The Catholic story in Northeast Ohio is one filled with the richness of the entire Church. With nearly 690,000 Catholics, the Diocese of Cleveland has a transformative power that impacts the life of our entire community. Our eight-county diocese is home to 185 vibrant parishes; 44,000 students in our Catholic grade schools and high schools; Catholic colleges, universities and seminaries. There are Catholic hospitals and skilled nursing for our aged, and a network of programs and services in Catholic Charities, one of the largest social services agencies in the country.
On Nov. 29, Catholics throughout Northeast Ohio will come together to share their blessings and give directly to more than 150 Catholic parishes, schools, ministries, Catholic Charities and nonprofits through a new giving day initiative called #weGiveCatholic. This first-ever online day of Catholic giving in our region will take place on Giving Tuesday, an international day of giving celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. As Catholics, this day will occur at the beginning of the Advent season
