Hundreds of young people from the Dioceses of Toledo, Cleveland and Youngstown converged on Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky on Tuesday, June 20 for Diocesan Youth Day. They were joined by the Most Reverend Daniel E. Thomas, bishop of the Diocese of Toledo and Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Cleveland.
Bishop Thomas greeted attendees at the gate, posed for photos with the young people, spent time with groups throughout the day at the park, hopped on a few rides and celebrated Mass in the late afternoon at Cedar Point?s convention center auditorium.
Dressed in casual attire, Bishop Thomas said the day was meant as a gathering of fun and fellowship for Catholic youth throughout Northeast Ohio.
?The Lord has given us magnificent weather so that all of our youth from the Dioceses of Toledo, Cleveland and Youngstown could gather together, enjoy creation and this wonderful amusement park and later in the day, celebrate Holy Mass,? Bishop Thomas said.
