Brad Wyner, a behavior specialist at Rose-Mary, received the 2017 Ed Comer Award at the 15th annual National Association of Dually Diagnosed: State of Ohio IDD/MI Conference on Sept. 26.
The award is present to those who make extraordinary contributions in the fields of mental illness and intellectual disability by motivating systems of care to work together; by establishing training programs to expand skills and confidence for those who work the field; by insisting that more clinical services are necessary to maintain individuals with dual diagnosis in their home communities; and/or by promoting more research efforts in the field of dual diagnosis. It is presented on behalf of all those whose lives have been improved by these efforts.
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities presented the award to Wyner and thanked him for his leadership and tireless efforts in supporting individuals with MI/ID.
