Cleveland Bishop Nelson Perez spent time traversing the diocese last weekend to visit the clergy and faithful in parishes in Hinckley in Medina County and Euclid in Cuyahoga County.
During the second weekend of Advent, the bishop first stopped at Our Lady of Grace Parish in Hinckley on Dec. 9. Father Edward Estok, parish administrator, concelebrated Mass with Bishop Perez, who met with parishioners at a reception following the liturgy.
The next morning, Dec. 10, the bishop joined Father John Betters, pastor, for Mass at SS. Robert and William Parish in Euclid. The bishop shared the day?s Gospel that reminds us of the role of St. John the Baptist in making straight the path to Jesus. Afterward, Bishop Perez visited with students from the parish?s Life Teen group and spent time greeting the faithful of the parish.
That afternoon, Bishop Perez traveled to the television studios of Fox 8 to celebrate and record the annual Christmas Day TV Mass, which will be broadcast at 6 a.m. Dec. 25 on WJW Fox 8.
