It is with a deep sadness that our nation morns the loss of former first lady Barbara Bush. Mrs. Bush was a woman of deep faith who was completely dedicated to her husband, President George H.W. Bush, and her entire family. She had the rare distinction of being the wife of one president and the mother of another. Mrs. Bush was a beloved first lady who possessed a keen wit and wisdom, and who showed her love of people through her advocacy toward the cause of literacy. May she rest in peace and may Almighty God comfort the Bush family in their time of mourning.
