The parish appeal for the 2020 Catholic Charities Annual Appeal will take place during the weekend of Feb. 8-9.
But the work of Catholic Charities and its countless ministries continues 24/7, 365 days a year throughout the eight-county Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
That’s one reason that Catholic Charities is offering a new, more convenient option for people to make donations. Text-to-donate can be done by using a smartphone. Create a new text to send to 41444 and type CCHOPE in the body of the message. A link will be texted that donors can click on and follow instructions to make a donation to the 2020 annual appeal. Donors can select a pre-determined amount or enter their own donation.

The central theme for this year’s appeal is “#FacesofHope: Though We are Many, We are One in Christ.”
“As the many parts of one body in Christ, we pray, comfort, help and serve one another,” said Bishop Nelson Perez. “This is our Christian calling and the story of Catholic Charities.”
For more than 100 years, Catholic Charities has worked to respond to all of those in need throughout Northeast Ohio. Inspired by the Gospel, the programs and services offered through Catholic Charities focus on building a just and compassionate society – one that embraces sharing the leadership gifts given to us by Christ so that we can better respond to the #FacesofHope across the diocese.
“Together as leaders, we can change the faces of despair, loneliness, darkness and addiction into #FacesofHope,” said Patrick Gareau, president and CEO of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
