Annie Heidersbach announced as new president of Elyria Catholic High School

Elyria Catholic High School and the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland education office announce Annie Heidersbach will be the new president of Elyria Catholic High School. Heidersbach will transition this spring and take over the leadership reins on July 1, 2020.

“As a mother of two Elyria Catholic alumni, Annie’s devotion to the school coupled with career experiences in advancement and student development will further propel the school community,” said Amy Butler, associate superintendent of schools for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.

Heidersbach spent the past 30 years at Baldwin Wallace University, educating students first as director of Career Services, then as director of Corporate & Foundation Relations and currently as director of Academic Grants. Her professional career and resume showcase collaboration and leadership, highlighted by the implementation and management of program creation, expansion and reinvigoration. Through Heidersbach’s efforts, she secured a record level of $10.4 million within 12 months for the university. Funding has supported capital projects, scholarship awards other needs for Baldwin Wallace.

“With steadfast engagement in my Catholic faith, 30 years of experience in higher education, 20 years in institutional advancement and dedication to student development, I am confident that God’s hand is leading me to serve successfully in this role,” said Heidersbach of her transition to Elyria Catholic.

The search for a new president at Elyria Catholic began in the summer of 2019 after Amy Butler, who had served as president since 2016 and principal from 2009-2016, was named associate superintendent of schools at the diocesan level.
