During this time of crisis and uncertainty, local parishes continue to depend on offertory donations to meet their ongoing expenses. To be of assistance, the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and the Catholic Community Foundation established a Universal Offertory Program for all 185 parishes in the diocese.
The purpose of the program is to provide parishioners with an opportunity to support their local parish by means of a secure online gift, if their parish does not already have an online giving program. The link to give using the Universal Offertory Program is CatholicCommunity.org/Offertory. All funds will be directed to the parish of choice, which donors can select at the time of their donation.
Parishioners throughout the diocese are encouraged to consider giving an amount that is equal to or exceeds their monthly offertory contributions to assist their local parish. Even though the obligation for Sunday Mass was suspended temporarily during the coronavirus health crisis, parishes continue to serve parishioners and carry out the mission of the Church under the guidance and mandates set in place by the state of Ohio and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
The generosity of the faithful is needed -- and appreciated -- now more than ever. A secure donation can be made to your local parish at CatholicCommunity.org/Offertory.
