New webpage offers a path to renewing Catholic life
The clergy and faithful across the eight-county Catholic Diocese of Cleveland are anticipating a return to the public celebration of Masses/liturgies after a more than two-month disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic. But things will be different when they begin returning to the pews on May 25.

The Catholic Conference of Ohio suspended the public celebration of Mass and issued a dispensation from the Sunday Mass obligation in mid-March due to the growing health crisis. They continued to monitor the situation and as the health crisis leveled off locally, they announced that the public celebration of weekday Mass could resume in order to prepare for the public celebration of the solemnity of Pentecost the weekend of May 30-31.

However, there are a number of things pastors and parish staffs must do in order to prepare for the resumption of the public celebration of Masses/liturgies.

The diocese created a webpage – Forward in Christ: A path to renewing Catholic life -- with resources and information about these new guidelines. Click here to visit the page, to read communications from Father Don Oleksiak, diocesan administrator, about the suspension and resumption of publicly celebrated Masses and for the new guidelines that will be implemented
