Catholic Community Foundation announces new leadership, board members
The Catholic Community Foundation is announcing its new officers and board members for the 2020-2022 term.

Robert J. Rogers will serve as the chair of the foundation’s board of directors. He replaces Fred M. DeGrandis, who was board chair for the past two years.

The new vice chair is Andrew J. Schuler, regional investment director and senior vice president at PNC. Serving as treasurer is Andrew J. Rebholz, retired chief executive officer at Travel Centers of America. The secretary is Maria O’Neil Ruddock, coordinator of training and outreach services for the Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center.

Gerald Schroer, Jr. and Margaret W. Wong were named as new board members.

Schroer is president of The Schroer Group, which specializes in long-term healthcare facilities in Ohio and Michigan. Wong, an immigration attorney, is founder and managing partner of Margaret W. Wong & Associates, LLC.

Rogers, who served as board vice chair for the past two years, joined the foundation board in 2011 and has served on the Audit, Governance, Fund Development, Communications and Executive Committees. He is the former managing principal and current advisory board member at Findley, an independent human resources and employee benefits consulting and solutions firm. Rogers joined the firm in 1983 and serves in a client management capacity for several of the firm’s largest clients.

“It is an honor to help lead the Catholic Community Foundation during this very important time in our diocese as we look to provide support to our parishes, schools, priests, seminary, Catholic Charities and our diocesan leadership. Our mission is to enhance the future of our diocese and our community,” Rogers said.

“Thank you to Fred DeGrandis for his inspired leadership as board chair. I am pleased to welcome Rob Rogers to this position as well as our newest board leadership and members,” said Patrick Grace, executive director for the Catholic Community Foundation. “As we continue to move through this uncertain time, it is reassuring to have such a highly talented board of directors, each able to bring their unique perspective to contribute to the Catholic community in Northeast Ohio. I am most grateful for their involvement and support,” he added.

The Catholic Community Foundation Board of Directors is under the direction of the bishop of Cleveland and is responsible for providing leadership to the Catholic Community Foundation while demonstrating a commitment to its mission, vision and programs.
