Staff at the Fatima Family Center took advantage of the beautiful summer weather to have a social for senior citizens, including a concert and meal, in the center’s parking lot recently.
LaJean Ray, center director, and her staff got creative when planning a social event for area seniors who enjoy the socialization opportunities provided by the center. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, many activities and events were curtailed during the past several months.
Roots of American Music entertained as visitors filled the parking lot on Aug. 13. Attendees observed social distancing and face covering guidelines. Some even tried out a few dance moves in the parking lot.
Guests also were treated to lunch and dessert served Ray and the center staff.
